ARTIST BIO

Stephanie Eland is a textile artist that uses her inspiration from nature and the outdoors to build a connection between a moment in time and possibly the overlooked parts of nature.  Stephanie builds the story by encompassing natures patterns and or randomness through the manipulation of fibre, fabrics, paints, dyes, and threads.

Stephanie exhibits her work on both a national and international level, and was shortlisted for the 2023 West Torrens Art Prize.  She is currently studying at Adelaide Central School of Art to gain her Bachelor Degree in Visual Arts and has previously built on her invaluable knowledge from both local and international tutors.

Participating in the Studio Art Quilt Accociation world wide auctions, Stephanie's work has been aquired and is now part of private collections in Texas and California.

Stephanie was raised on a farm in Victoria and learnt from an early age of the importance of connecting with the outdoors and experienced the art of nature observation.  She now lives in Gawler, South Australia and continues to find her sense of place in the great outdoors.
